Change management

Helping people move from the old way of working to the new one, so that an AI system is actually adopted and its benefits realised.

Definition

Most AI value depends on people working differently: trusting an agent's draft, handling exceptions instead of routine cases, or changing roles entirely. Change management plans for that shift with communication, training, involvement of the people affected, new measures and reinforcement.

Established methods such as Prosci's ADKAR model (Awareness, Desire, Knowledge, Ability, Reinforcement) are widely used. A whole layer of the AI implementation market specialises in training and change management, because technically sound projects regularly stall on adoption.
